Had stopped here several times to buy from the convenience store, but this time I actually stayed for the food. And what a nice surprise! We had delicious turkey and corn chowder and an unbelievably good poutine with great dark beef gravy. We even took home a slice of cheesecake and it was great!
I grew up when this building was a country store and they have kept the atmosphere of a country building when you walk in. The look is welcoming and makes you feel like you're coming home. I fully recommend the fish and chips as it was delicious. Great food and atmosphere. A place that makes you feel like you're home.
What a terrific experience we had today! Delicious lunch, fun setting and food good enough that 8 would make it a destination food outting for sure! We’ll be back!
Went yesterday was absolutely blown away by the experience. One super woman running the whole place, and running it like a boss. Food looked great and tasted so much better than that! She was the best waitress host ever, she even brought us something new on the menu to try. That lady can cook It's the next day, I'm still full, run don't walk, go!!
Cute little general store and restaurant. Funky decor and really friendly people. They smoke all of their meat and local source all that they can.
If you are out cruzing the Albert County backroads either on a sled, ATV, motorcycle, or car the Elgin Kitchen is a great stop for a drink and a bite to eat.
Great experience, great food.
Stopped in here for a snack break. Had delicious carrot muffins hot out of the oven along with a great cup of tea. Service was friendly and quick. Lots to look at, there's even a room with yard sale items!
